Description
Over the past few days, we have received many coronavirus-related questions from our rabbinic emissaries who work throughout Europe. Questions, for example, regarding Brit Milah when no mohel can travel to their community, and Tahara for bodies that various governments have mandated be cremated. Other questions have arisen from our rabbinic couples' virtual door-knocking: calling shut-ins and / or people who are quarantined. Our emissaries are concerned that the people with whom they are in touch are in a depressed state. Are they permitted to call them on Shabbat? Are they permitted to keep their computer on before the holiday of Pesach, and create a Facebook Live Seder? How do we answer such questions?
