Description

Earlier in the laws of Meat & Milk (89:3), the Rema informed us that if you eat a parve food cooked in a meat pot (within 24 of cooking meat) you are not fleishic and are not required to wait 6hrs before partaking of milk ingredient. This parve item has a quasi dairy imbedded itself. This is called Nat Bar Nat - secondary flavor. The Shach (89:19) said the parve item can even be eaten with milk. What conditions must be met to have the leniencies of Nat bar Nat? Why aren’t these leniencies relevant to Nat bar Nat of a prohibited food?
