Our goal is to integrate a revolutionary idea of the Ba'al Shem Tov regarding how HaShem 'punishes' the sinner with two statements of Rebby Akiva in two Aggadetas in Masechet Pesachim. We will learn about R' Akiva's singular appreciation for Talmidei Chachamim. This insight will shed a light on our particular Avoda during the days of Sefira. We will connect this with the Mishna in Avot of Yehoshua ben Perachya.
