Many sugyot in Masechet Niddah are relevant to answer the question: do the laws that regulate ספק טומאה regulate ספק נדה? For example, is a זבה who knows - based upon רוב - that she stopped seeing דם, can she be permitted to her husband even if the ספק was born in רשות היחיד? In the case of universal טומאה any doubt that arises in a private domain is prohibited despite a רוב to the contrary.
