Description
For Masechet Niddah 33a & 37a an introduction to the sugya of פולטת ש"ז, and the debate between the Rosh and the Raavad. This controversy will touch on the fundamental question of the interdependence of Tumah for Mikdash and Issur LeBa'alah regarding Niddah. The Rosh assumes this interdependence as an absolute given. Therefore if פולטת in the case of זבה -like קרי in the case of זב - generates a day of Tumah that undermines יום נקי vis-a-vis Tumah, it must do the same as far as איסור לבעלה and she cannot count the day of פולטת as one of the seven days of ז' נקיים. This will mean that a woman who sees דם after תשמיש will have to delay the beginning of ז' נקיים for three days. The Ra'aved will split Tumah LeMikdash from איסור לבעלה.
