In this Pshat shiur for Masechet Berachot 30b, we will introduce the 5th Chapter of אין עומדין להתפלל. We will emphasize the Mishna's opening sentence formulated in the negative. What is the source for the Halacha in Tefilla that requires כובד ראש? We will study four candidate sources and try to understand why the Gemora rejected the first three verses. What is the great significance to the the verse וגילו ברעדה? The sugya establishes that the principle derived from this verse goes way beyond the confines of Hilchos Tefilla.
