For 26b we will analyze the controversy between Rabbenu Yehuda & the Chachmei Provance over the issue of one who omitted יעלה ויבוא on mincha of Rosh Chodesh & will not be able to add this recitation to his replacement Shmona Esrei since it is after Rosh Chodesh. Does this מחלוקת apply to the case of one who omitted ותן טל ומטר on Mincha of Erev Shabbos & will not be able to add that to his replacement Tefilla on Friday night? The Yeshuos Yaakov believes that Rabbenu Yehuda will apply his rule here as well. It would be futile to replace a Tefilla without adding the omission. Rebby Chaim disagrees, and we want to know why? Finally, we want to know why R' Chaim told his son not to repeat Shachris on R"Ch when the latter omitted יעלה ויבוא.
