Description

The essence of Bnei Yisroel is that of Achdus, Oneness. The Galus of Mitzrayim is one of 'Mispar', multitude. Yosef's role is to free the 'Mispar' from the hands of Mitrzayim and then use it as a decoration for the Oneness. This can be accomplished by always staying connected to Yakov, the man of Oneness. This is the essence of what Chanuka is about, "Rabbim B'Yad Me'Atim". Understanding this gives us a deeper understanding of the part of Limud HaTorah called 'Remez', which focuses on 'hints' using Gematrias and letters. The difference between Chassidus and Kabbalah is also discussed.
