Description

The Succah represents the 'Ananei HaKavod', the Clouds of Glory, which traveled with Bnei Yisroel in the desert by day. The Fire of Chanuka is the Pillar of Fire which guides us until this very day through the darkness of exile. Chanuka, unlike Yetzias Mitzrayim, was not a complete freedom from Galus. The Menorah is a weapon with which we do battle with our enemies. But rather than destroy them with fire, we shine a light of love and life. This is how a Jew does battle with his enemies.
