The Mishna in Masechet Berachot establishes the obligation of women in Tefilla, but it is not clear if this Chiyuv is DeOraiasa or Derabanan. Do women have to daven once a day, twice, or thrise? Is a short prayer in the morning sufficieant or must they daven a full Shemona Esrei? May they daven in any language or must they learn Lashon HaKodesh? We will study the controversy regarding the opinion of the Rambam between the Magen Avraham & the Sha'agas Aryeh. We will look at the Mishna Brura re: Arvis and Musaf for women. In this shiur, the issue of Zeman Gerama as it applies to Tefilla will be touched upon. In the following we will address this issue in depth.
