An analysis of the Rambam's distinction between Kriat Shema & Tefilla with regard to those involved in the mitzva of הלוויית המת, i.e. they accompany the מטה. Whereas they are obligated in Shema, they are exempt from Tefilla. We can compare this to the distinction earlier in Berachot regarding workers on the top on the tree, must they descend to recite Shema and Shmoneh Esrei? Whereas Shema requires Kavana for the 1st Pasuk, Tefilla requires an intense Kavana throughout. We will analyze the concept of טירדא דמצוה and define two categories of עוסק במצוה פטור מן המצוה. This insight into the Ramban will impact upon phat in Rashi. Those who are not on line for the carrying of the מטה are involved in לוויה. But does that involve טירדא?
