The nature of Basar Bechalav: the controversy between the Taz and the Bach and the Nekudas Hakesef regarding non-kosher meat that was cooked with kosher meat. Is there a possibility of adding the Issur Basar Bechalav to Basar Tamei? What new dinim would emerge as a result of the Issur Basar Be'chalav? We will discuss the opinion of Rabenu Efraim re: Chaticha Na'ases Neveila as a unique Halacha that applies exclusively to Basar BeChalov. In the second half of the shiur we will address the question of Bishul Be'Chamei Tevariah, is it Bishul in Basar Bechalav? Is it a Melacha on Shabbos? Are these two issues interdependent?
