We will study Tur & Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De'ah Siman 87:3, can non-kosher meat or milk become Basar BeChalav? Since the Rabanan created an Issur Basar BeChalav in the cases of עוף וחיה, did they do the same with regard to non-kosher meat or milk? But what difference would it make since the food is non-kosher and Assur anyway! The Bach suggests that what the Rabanan added is the principle of חנ"ן which according to Rabanu Efrayim only applies to Basar BeChalav but not to any other Issurim. The Taz disagrees with the Bach rejecting the idea of the Rabanan creating Basar BeChalav out of חלב טמא or בהמה טמאה. If there is Issur anyway we do not add an additional Issur of Basar BeChalav.
