In this shiur based on an essay of the Pachad Yitzchok for Pesach & Shabbos entitled Pesach before Shabbos, we will analyze two dimensions of the Shabbos. On the one hand Shabbos Bereishis is totally reflective of the Divine Being Who gives us the Shabbos. Yet Shabbos of Yetzias Mitzrayim represents the Shabbos of Klal Yisrael receiving the Shabbos. The latter dimension is representative of the 2nd set of Luchos given after the Egel & chiseled by Moshe. We will study the insights of the Maharal. We will study Hillel & Shamai regarding preparing for Shabbas. Why does Hillel emphasize שיהיו כל מעשיך לשם שמים? Hillel will teach us how to transform a דבר רשות into a mitzva & implement the Middah of Bitachon. The latter is central in our Avodah.
