Description

in this shiur for the Pachad Yitzchok on Pesach, we will study two ma'amarim, 16-17, and based on the insights of the Ramban and the Maharal, we will address two themes: 1) the mitzva of Sippur Y"M, is it Sippur Shevach (praise) or Sippur HaTovos (gratitude and enumerating the miracles)? 2) why is it so crucial that we begin the Sippur with "Genus" & "shiflus" and describe our lowly origins? We will explain that whereas in this world the night begins the day, in the pure world at the end of days there will be an entirely different order of time, with pure light and day, with no absence of light, no night. We will understand the requirement of מתחיל בגנות in a new way, and this will shed a light on many dimensions of our existence.
