Description

What motivates a person to do Teshuva? To correct his ways? Is it external pressure & fear of Punishment? Or can he awaken himself with a genuine, internal awareness of his need to amend his evil path? The latter road to Teshuva is profound, lon-lasting & genuine. This will teach us about how to educate our children and spare the rod in favor of a method of inspiration the goal of which is to bring the child to love Torah not out of fear of punishment. We will see why Moshe beseeched Hashem to grant Klal Yisrael a permanent, continuous השראת השכינה, whereas the nations of the world should not experience that level of closeness to Hashem. Is Moshe being chauvinistic? We will study Moshes inquiry re: Tzadik veRa Lo.
