Description
Can the seuda begin on the day of Purim but extend into the night? If so, will Al HaNisim be recited in Birkat HaMazon despite the fact that it is no longer Purim? Can the Seuda be eaten in the morning hours of Purim? The Terumas Hadeshen records thst it was a common minhag to extend the seuda into the night. We will study the poskim to see how the minhag is reflected in the codes. What about a Taanis Chalom on Purim? Is the mitzva of drinking on Purim achieved by one's entering into a state of drunkenness? Are we required to do both, eat meat & drink wine? Or is one of the two sufficient? Although there is no Chiyuv Seuda at night, yet Purim, even at night, trumps Aveilus. Why? If one omitted Al HaNisim in benching must he repeat benching?
