Description
In this Pshat shiur for the Aggadeta on Masechet Berachot 6b, we will address the q': how to appreciate the significance and uniqueness of each of a day's three prayers. The time of day for each prayer reflects the personality and objective of each Tefilla. We will study the insights of Rav Kook as to the nature of man's struggles facing the formidable powers of the yetzer and the society around us that maintains a view of life that is antithetical to a Torah perspective. In the second half of the shiur we will address the concept of Simchas Chasan VeKalla and its relationship to Torah. Man as a biological being cannot justify his existence. Torah will afford the Jew with a deeper meaning in life.
