Description

Before Kinos - Screaming without words contains all the Kinos and all the pain and frustration; we ask ourselves [among other questions] what we can do and how the situation in Eretz Yisrael can be solved. Halachah recommends a practical approach to this dilemma. How do we behave during a community-wide calamity? Emulating Hashem's midos (traits) - ve'halachta bidrachav (walk in His ways). Differentiating between individual and communcal suffering. Being actually and deeply affected by the other's [the tzibur's (community's)] suffering - and acting accordingly. Empathy with our soldiers who are fighting on our behalf, and protecting us - but what will we really do? We must reduce our indulging - actually sharing in our brothers' and sisters' pain. The Aish Kodesh's explanation of taking another's pain upon oneself. "The biggest thing in the world is to do a favor for a Jew."
