Hashem looks at us and knows that we could be a little better. Hashem gives us so much but we never look at His face and thank him enough. We need to ask Hashem for the opportunity to feel close to him and know him better. We also need to ask for something more important than our money and health, that is to get closer to Hashem. Hashem turns away from the tzaddikim to hear regular children trying to delve into the Gemora.
