Description

p 208. Our lives have three parts: the revealed, the hidden, and the beyond. When we learn Torah we are connecting to Olam HaBa (The World To Come). Embarrassing a fellow Jew in public is essentially rejecting his tzelem Elokim (image of G-d). A tzaddik wants to clean the filth off of a Jew's tzelem. When we give kavod (honor) to a seemingly downtrodden Jew, we expose our belief in the tzelem Elokim and in Olam HaBa. Since Aramaic is not considered a real language, whatever is written in Aramaic is considered an expression of the highest thoughts and feelings. Thought is the hidden world.
