The power of the voice of song comes from the song of birds which originates from the place of prophecy. The voice of the two live birds that atone for the speech of the leper corresponds to the Holy Voice that emanated from between the two winged, bird-like cherubs above the Holy Ark. The secret of song is the ability to reveal the voice of Hashem in this world. Listening to the song of a G-d fearing Jew helps a person in his avodas Hashem (Divine service). The leper's birds are termed chayos (live) alluding to their connection to the chayos (angels) on high.
