A person doesn't feel joy of life if he's not occupied with something. Those who are and are not on time for learning and davening - a key indicator whether they enjoy it. Enjoying what we do and how we live. Not everybody obtains enjoyment by learning all day long. That doesn't mean he shouldn't do some learning every day. Deriving joy and energy from helping others and doing chassadim (charitable acts).
