Description

P. 40. When learned with Chochma (wisdom) and bina (understanding), every detail of the Torah will have the taste of the totality of the Torah. We are commanded to learn the entire Torah. Hashem says, 'The more you learn about me through my Torah, the more you'll get to know me.' Since the giving of Torah, the main place to find yiras shamayim (fear of Heaven) is in the Torah. To the Jewish people, learning Torah is our pursuit, not 'success' in the Western sense. The chochma approach to learning Torah is to seek to be in Hashem's courtyard, to receive. The bina approach to learning Torah is information acquisition for the sake of reaching a goal.
