Description

Does the Halacha of 'Mehadrin' in the mitzva of Ner Chanuka allow one to make a bracha on a Hadlaka which is no more than a kiyum of Mehadrin? For example, one who has fulfilled his obligation thru the Hadlakas habayis, can he decide to light his own Ner Chanuka either in the very same Bayis or elsewhere? Is Chanuka similar to other mitzvot incumbent upon the Bayit, such as Mezuza or Eruv? In this shiur we will address the following question: one who has no Bayis and will sleep under the sky, is he obligated in the mitzva of Ner Chanuka?
