How does the Rav's methodology of lumdus express itself in the more emotional realm of Mitzvot Bein Adam Lechavero? We will focus on the fundamental structure of the Rav's derech haIyun that differentiates between the mitzvah act and the kiyum she'balev. While the former represents the objective mechanical act, the latter represents the subjective, emotional element. All of the Rav's Hashkafa revolves around the distinction between the surface-level performance or relationship and the in-depth existential one. Relationships such as Rebby-talmid, husband-wife, parent-children, leader-flock, individual-community, etc., must be precisely defined within this framework. We will look at a # of eulogies delivered by the Rav & many D"T & shiurim.
