In this shiur we will study the Maharal's explanation for the prohibition enjoining the transmission of the oral Torah in writing, and the written Torah orally. What is the rational behind these strictures? We will also raise the question of how Rebby was permitted to write the Mishna, Ravina & Rav Asi to record the Talmud, and the Chachmei Yisrael to author sfarim of chidushei Torah throughout the generations. The principle of "Et La'Asot LaShem" will be introduced only to be explored in future shiurim in this series.
