Description
This is the 2nd of a three-part series on the insights of R' Tzadok HaKohen on Purim, specifically on Shushan Purim. There are 2 primary themes to this presentation. 1- the weakness of Yisrael regarding Mitzvot, specifically the mitzva of Tzedaka. 2- the רפיון, the lethargic attitude towards the study of Torah. It is Tzedaka & Torah which generates for Klal Yisrael the protective barrier preventing the קטרוג of Amalek from impacting Above. What was Haman saying about the Jews? How do the Mitzvot of Purim represent a תיקון (rectification) of these 2 deficiencies & restore the Divine protection of Israel? This will lead to the 3rd & final shiur in this series, the two-fold nature of Purim which is split into two days, the 14th & 15th.
