This shiur will serve as an intro to the insights of the Pri Tzaddik on Purim, the deeper meaning behind שושנת יעקב..תכלת מרדכי. This liturgical prayer is attributed to none other than אנשי כנסת ישראל. What is the symbolic meaning of the שושנה? The Zohar speaks about the 2 dimensions of this flower that correspond to the 2 dimensions of Knesset Yisrael. On the one hand the 13 attributes of Rachamim, on the other hand the 5 attributes of גבורה & דין. The rose has leaves but it also has thorns. These numbers correspond to the appearance of the name אלוקים, specifically to the 13 words that connect the 1st אלוקים til the אלוקים of the Ruach of Mashiach. This bridge will protect Israel from the original דין of creation til the ultimate רחמים.
