Description

This shiur for Parshat Tetzaveh is divided into two main parts. One, an analysis of the last verse in the Parsha, a verse that is laden with difficulties. Our understanding will be based upon R' Meir Simcha of Dvinsk in his work the Meshech Chochma. We will demonstrate that this verse is a composite of two distinct commands each relevant to a different period in the history of the Beis HaMikdash. This will require 2 intro's, the Gra & the Ra'em. The second theme of today's shiur is a study of the answer of the Seforno to the question: why was the Mizbe'ach omitted from Parshat Terumah where the Torah commands the building of the Mishkan & its כלים? The end of today's shiur will be dedicated to the mitzva of lighting the Menorah.
