Description

Please refer to the first shiur in this series for the source text. Does Shmita (7th year) itself cancel the debt? What are the Rishonim's (early Halachic deciders) views? What about a deaf/mute, fool or small child? If a Ba'al T'shuvah (returner to keeping mitzvos) has funds from a loan returned to him before he became orthodox and this money was on loan to somebody during the shmita year? Can I make a condition that shmita will not cancel the debt? The sources for the different rishonim's opinions. False witnesses and the 10-year loan.
