The main source text for these shiurim is the sefer Mitzvas Ha'melech (peirush on the Rambam's Sefer Hamitzvos), Mitzvas Asseh, Cheilek Beis, Page 215, Mitzvah 141 by Rabbi Ezriel Cziment. During the first 20 minutes of the shiur, the first of this new zman (learning period), Rav Weinberger discussed the importance of practial change to improve our avodas Hashem (divine service) rather than just being miserable about our sins and lack of accomplishments in our relationship with Hashem.
