Description

Based on Rav Tzvi Meir Zilberberg's Sichos Hischaskus Erev Shabbos Chazon 5759, P. 20. The fourth in a series about davening (praying) during the three weeks – what to think about, and how to improve our davening. Our key to redemption is through our mouth. The biggest Yetzer Hora (evil inclination) is to be lax in prayer. Hashem loves our davening even when we are in midst of a difficult situation. The main weapon of Moshiach (Messiah) is prayer. Our service to G-d each day is our machatzis hashekel (half coin). Just as the machatzis hashekel was on fire, our prayers have to be on fire. No matter how impoverished we feel in our service to G-d, we still have what to offer. One good prayer or act of kindness could burn up Esav. Even the most far removed Jew has to be redeemed from galus (exile). Esav tries to convince us that those of us, who are weak in our service to Hashem, are worthless. Most of the work to bring the redemption has already been finished by previous generations; there is only a little bit left for us to complete.
