Description

Based on Rav Tzvi Meir Zilberberg's Sichos Hischaskus Erev Shabbos Chazon 5759, P. 18. The second in a series about davening (praying) during the three weeks – what to think about, and how to improve our davening. Three components of prayer: tzadikim’s (sages) words to us, praising Hashem, begging Hashem. We have to believe that our personal prayers make a real difference. Correct gaiva (haughtiness) is appreciating our ability to bring blessing to the world. Noach did not believe that he alone could prevent the mabul (flood). The destruction of the Beis Hamikdash (temple) began with misplaced humility. How much Torah have we lost because people think, “I am a youth.” A leader has to show Jews their potential, and not put them down. Hashem loves us regardless of our sins. Hashem loved us at the time of the destruction of the Beis Hamikdash (temple).
