Description

7th Perek, pieces 3,4,5. There is a bitul Torah (wasting Torah learning time) that actually helps a person see the greatness of the Torah learning that they are not doing. It is unnatural for a person to not feel the mesikus (sweetness) of Torah. If we lose our natural chieshek (desire) for learning Torah, we need to do teshuvah and fix what is off. The feeling of lack of shleimus (completeness) is an experience of Gehinom, which is an absence of Hashem. When we feel that Hashem has turned away from us, the first place we should look is where we have committed bitul Torah. An unhealthy Jew involved in bitul Torah will be flooded with external desires, which is also an experience of Gehinom in this world.
