Description

7th Perek, piece 6. There are ideas and concepts that can confuse and frighten us and give us false and empty visions of life. When we are filled with the light of Torah, these golem-like ideas can be transformed into settled ideas which can ultimately broaden our minds. Only the Torah can save us from the winds and storms of false ideas. An idea can machriv (destroy) or marchiv (widen). Without the pnimius (the inner dimension) of Torah, these outside ideas can cause confusion. The war in our generation is not against competing ideologies, it is against superficiality. The Torah is a migdal oz (a mighty fortress). Sometimes a person can feel tzaar (pain) when recognizing all of the Torah learning that he has missed out on. Aged wine is only good when it was good wine when it was originally bottled.
