Dr. Dobrinsky, vice president for university affairs at Yeshiva University and cofounder of the University's Sephardic Studies Program, is an internationally recognized expert on Sephardic Jewry. In October 1988, the Educator's Council of America presented him with the Safra Award to mark the release of his book's second edition.
