Rabbi Yonatan Shai Freedman

Rabbi Yonatan Shai Freedman attended Yeshivat Har Etzion after high school for 4 years. During that time he joined the IDF together with the Yeshiva’s Hesder program and served as a tank driver in the Gaza Strip. He holds a Diaspora Teacher’s Certificate from Herzog College and he has a B.S. in Management/Information Systems from Lander College for Men. Following college he spent some time working in computers. In 2009 he returned to Yeshivat Har Etzion where he studied for smicha in the Gush Kollel and has been teaching in the yeshiva in many different capacities ever since. He has smicha from Rav Zalman Nechemya Goldberg Shlita as well as from the Rabbanut. He is certified as a teacher of chatanim by the Religious Council of Gush Etzion. He lives in Alon Shevut with his wife, Rachel, and their children, Akiva and Gili.
