Why did we need four stages of geulah? By looking back at the Brit Bein Habetarim and Brit Milah, we can better appreciate the need for these four stages to teach us about both severe and moderate forms of oppression, along with a guide to spiritual redemption and the obstacles to spiritual redemption. In doing so, the four stages of geuldah can provide some thoughtful guidance about how we can persevere and grow spiritually as we emerge from COVID and what we can do about the toxic level of discourse that exists in our country that has inflitrated our communities.
