Description

The premise of Moshe's ongoing "negotiations" with Pharaoh was that Hashem demanded that His people come into the desert for a three-day worship festival - but this proved to be untrue, meaning that the foundational story of our existence was premised on deception - or was it? How was this festival to be celebrated? And what does this have to do with the inclusion of Shirat haYam in the story? All this is woven into the five great promises that Hashem made at the beginning of the Exodus narrative - "I will take you out...I will save you...I will redeem you...I will take you unto Me...I will bring you to the Land..."
