This two-part shiur focuses on the significance of the assassination of Gedalya but also addresses unusual and enigmatic reports from the early Second Temple period, including the reaction of the people to hearing the Torah read and their weeping and mourning on Rosh Hashanah as recorded in Nehemiah 8.
