Maharal and Rav Kook - Torah is completely sublime and beyond this world. We can't achieve it without isurim to show we can escape our physical confines. 2. Rav Nissim Alpert -You can't have Matan Torah without the fire because it is a complete experience that we need to be consumed with. 1. Chida - the Yetzer Hara is punished for tripping us up in our efforts to learn Torah. He is supposed to test us but not to trip us up.
