The affliction of Tzaraat has always been a challenging topic; it's millenia-long absence from the world of Halakhic practice, the many difficult Halakhot that it inheres and the curious cause(s) of this condition make it an area of discussion that is comfortably avoided. We address the topic from three perspectives and bring them together - why someone would get Tzaraat (based on the recorded cases in Tanakh), the nature of the Metzora (based on textual and Halakhic considerations) and, finally, the association with the Exodus and specifically with Egypt.
