Weekly Daf B'Iyun Shiur: Berachos 4: The special Kiyum of Co-joining the Beracha of גאל ישראל with the Amidah in the evening prayers, סמיכות גאולה לתפילה בערבית. We will attempt to explain the difference between the morning and the evening as far as this special Kiyum is concerned. Why do we allow for השכיבנו a blessing that wedges between the blessing of גאל ישראל and Shemona Esrei? Why do we allow for a חצי קדיש? What does R' Yochanan mean when he tells us that there was Geulah at night? These and other q' will be addressed.
