In 3 of the most famous pesukim in Mishlei, Shlomo HaMelech poetically describes the nature and benefits of the Torah’s wisdom: ‘longevity on its right and wealth and honor on its left’ could be explained in different ways, one of which relates to how modern science understands the psychology of our dominant hands. ‘It’s ways are pleasant’ teaches not only a nicety but an obligation in many halachic situations. And the symbol of the Torah as a ‘tree of life’ shows us how connected all of it really is, and the influence of every individuals contribution.
