We revisited the well-known stories of Avraham in the idol shop and his exchange with Nimrod leading to the fiery furnace. In our analysis for their deeper meaning, we came to an appreciation of Avraham’s initial and concluding philosophy about Hashem and what that meant for his mission -the meaning of “lech-lecha”- and the purpose of the actions we take every day.
