In another example of learning about unfamiliar aspects within familiar stories, we selves into the purpose of Noach sending out the raven before the dove. Noting some glaring differences in the text, we came to understand the Midrash which explains the real concern of Noach in planning for the aftermath of the flood and how Hashem had to dissuade him from his black & white perception of the world.
