Conceptual discussion of anavah, humility, in the mussar tradition. Rather than meekness, anavah is about cultivating a healthy sense of space/purpose. What are the impediments? How can we work with this middah? This discussion occurred at a meeting of the Tikkun Middot mussar va'ad at Congregation Beth Sholom in Providence, Rhode Island.
