"Becoming a Real 'Ba'al Teshuva' - Nachmanides and Blu Greenberg on Judaism all over again"
As a young man, new to Orthodox Judaism, I was desperately looking for a book that would help me live an observant lifestyle. I had, I felt, learned the WHY of Judaism - but I needed to learn the HOW - how to actually live - and love - Judaism.
Fortunately, I came across "How to Run a Traditional Jewish Household by Blu Greenberg". Re-reading this classic work, I was prompted to wonder what our religion - and our lives - would look like if we were to start keeping the Torah as if we were doing it for the very first time. What would we prioritize? Would we be more spiritual and devout? What are we overlooking now that we really shouldn't be? And how can we - this Elul - approach our ancient religion as if we were seeing it for the very first time?
