Description
Chapters 28-29 of Bamidbar comprise the section known as תמידין ומוספין - daily and additional offerings brought on special days throughout the week, month and year. The Musaf brought on Pesach is consistent; the same offerings are brought for each of the seven days. On the other hand, the offerings for Sukkot vary from day to day (in descending order); this leads to a curious ruling - that we say Hallel (completely) on each day of Sukkot - but only on the first day of Pesach. How does this ruling follow from that observation about the offerings? And why, indeed, does the Torah mandate a unique Korban for each day of Sukkot - but not Pesach? This shiur was given in memory of Rav Etshalom's father, Harav Asher Aharon b Avraham Binyamin z"l
